The LABBC Innovation Awards recognize the leadership of property owners and managers who exemplify this definition, who have created a culture of innovation that delivers exceptional energy and water performance year after year.

ENERGY PERFORMANCE
The Energy Performance Award goes to the building that has achieved the greatest annual reduction in energy use or that has demonstrated the greatest continued improvement over time.

Unit and percent energy use intensity reduction since taking ownership
Qualitative factors including:
Alignment with organization-wide commitment
Market context
Stakeholder engagement
Innovation in technology, execution, or financing
WATER PERFORMANCE
The Water Performance Award goes to the building that has realized the greatest water savings, in alignment with an organization-wide commitment to reduce water use.

Unit and percent water use intensity reduction since taking ownership

Market context
Stakeholder engagement
Innovation in technology, execution, or financing
AFFORDABLE MULTIFAMILY PERFORMANCE
The Affordable Multifamily Performance Project of the Year is awarded to the building that has realized the greatest energy and/or water savings in affordable housing communities using innovative resources.

PORTFOLIO OF THE YEAR
Our most prestigious award, the Portfolio of the Year Award recognizes the property owner or manager who has made the greatest impact year over year, implementing energy and water upgrades at scale across a portfolio.
